    Probably my favorite scene from this film and likely any film I’ve ever viewed. Deniros “penance and awakening “. Lovely. Powerful.

      1. Re the scene, Yes, Mendoza’s penance. Drives me to tears every time I see it. The forgiveness and acceptance by the Guarani…….

        Perhaps consider U2, “I Still Haven’t Found What Im Looking For”. Which, despite pop culture assumptions, is about Bono’s search for spiritual enlightenment in Christianity. Applying that theme of exploration to the Utila experience, or maybe I am selfishly inserting myself into this.

        Maybe El Jag is onto something re a playlist. Individual songs applying on a given day, moment or set of emotions.
